Treatment Coordinator

The Dental Team is currently seeking a Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our growing team. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate the patient’s office experience in reaching their dental goals by efficiently taking them through case acceptance and treatment processes for the dental services required. With the goal of being seamless and ensuring the patient leaves well informed and prepared for their next appointment. Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient interviews to understand the patient’s oral health histories, concerns, and objectives; explain treatment plans to patients; address patient concerns and answer patient questions; assist patients in treatment priorities.
  • Assist patient with financial arrangements, conduct financial consultations with new and existing patients when new treatment plans are presented; understand the practice policies on working with dental benefit plans; and educate patients on available dental benefits.
  • Prepare and present treatment plan and financial estimates to patients for all prescribed treatment and establish plans for scheduling and payments.
  • Schedule patient treatment appointments: reschedule patients that miss their appointment and call patients that have not completed treatment.
  • Handle all treatment paperwork including consent forms, policy forms and exit paperwork.
  • Work with clinical team to effectively manage daily patient flow, providing communication and information to the appropriate individuals.
  • Effectively communicate and develop a strong working relationship with the Doctor and promote, teamwork through cooperative and professional behaviors.
  • Greet and check patients in and out before and after treatment; answer incoming calls (for example, new patient calls, emergency calls, appointment scheduling requests, records requests, patient follow ups)
  • Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.
  • Follow and demonstrate commitment to the Dental Team policies, professional expectations and service excellence standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years front desk experience in a dental practice with knowledge of dental insurance and dental procedures is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with dental treatment plans and insurance requirements.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional listening, time management and organizational skills.
